Training
The Omaha AHEC provides some of the most competitively priced CPR and First Aid training in the region. With American Heart Association certified instructors, we provide trainings to schools, community organizations, medical offices, religious organizations, fitness clubs as well as individuals to meet all of their certification needs. We also certify provide group certifications for employees and volunteers and can come to your location or host your training at our location.

Currently courses are offered in:
- BLS for Health Care Providers:
This course certification is a requirement for many health professionals ranging from CNAs and RNs to other health care providers. If you are a medical professional, this course is for you.

- Heartsaver Adult/Child CPR Training:
Participants learn to reconize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in adults and children.

- Heartsaver Infant CPR Training:
Participants learn how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in infants.

Participants will learn to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies, sucha as burns, cuts and scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies.

- Use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED):
AED training is the perfect course for individuals who want to become an effective user of an automatic external defibrillator in emergencies. This course will teach proper use of the AED and its use in conjunction with CPR.

This course gives anyone in childcare the knowledge and confidence to care for infants and school-aged children. This course uses video, activities, hands-on skills training and discussion for a complete learning experience.
