The Nurses Up! program is specifically designed to move individuals off government assistance and into gainful employment by training them as Certified Nursing Assistants and providing them college credit through Metropolitan Community College. In a twelve-week time period an individual in the program can go from being unemployed directly into a frontline position in health care. In Omaha alone, health care support occupations are projected to grow by 41% in the next 8 years.
