Programs

The purpose of the Omaha AHEC is to help avert the current and growing health care workforce shortage crisis by developing a pipeline of health care students with a specific focus on minority and underserved or disadvantaged students. To accomplish this, the Omaha AHEC provides a wide range of programming such as job shadowing, a health careers institute, summer camps, one on one career counseling, service-learning opportunities, Nurses Up!, a welfare-to-work Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, among many others.
