The Omaha AHEC works with local health and community agencies to address and fill the health needs of the community. Focus is currently placed on general community health serving the underserved through community health education and screening fairs.

Training

The Omaha AHEC provides some of the most competitively priced CPR and First Aid training in the region. With certified American Heart Association instructors, we provide trainings to schools/organizations, medical offices, church groups, and individuals to meet all of their certification needs. Currently courses are offered in:

Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers
Heartsaver First Aid
Heartsaver CPR

Contracting

The Omaha AHEC is uniquely positioned to provide subcontracting services to health care organizations looking to create programming, market programs to communities, and provide strategic planning to implement community-based programs. We have received multiple contract awards to support existing agencies in the development of their programs and services.
