Continuing Medical Education Lead Poisoning: A True Health Hazard- In May 2007, we co-sponsored a very successful program as a result of our work with Omaha Healthy Kids Alliance, Douglas County Health Department, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention! This continuing education event addressed lead testing awareness among the healthcare community, especially pediatricians and school nurses. The event was held on Thursday, May 10th at the UNMC Durham Research Center Auditorium. The program was also video conferenced to Boystown National Research Hospital, Children's Hospital, and Creighton University Medical Center.
