Kindergarten through 8th grade Programming

Castelar and Mountview Elementary Schools - The Omaha Urban AHEC has partnered with the school nursing staff to provide materials for Dental, Hygiene, Infection Control and Human Growth and Development presentations to students from both elementary schools. Presentations have been made to students ranging from the 1st to 4th grades. Contact the Omaha Urban AHEC office to schedule a similar presentation at your school or community organization!

Lothrop Magnet Center - The Omaha Urban AHEC has been working to assist Lothrop students with the planning for their annual science fair and 1st annual Healthcare Careers camp. This includes providing science fair supplies and science experiment materials. Lothrop is also the site of our very first HOSO Session. Check the Photo Gallery for photos from this program!

Omaha North High Summer Technology Camp - The Omaha Urban AHEC provides health career education through involvement in the Omaha North High Science and Technology Camp during the summer. Check out the photos from last summer in the photo gallery. Participation in this two-week, day camp is offered to students going into sixth and seventh grades.

North Omaha Youth Care Council - Last school year, the Omaha Urban AHEC facilitated regular meetings with a group of students from Monroe Middle School. This group meets at Baker Place and is exposed to a variety of careers twice monthly as well as monthly field trips related to recent presentations!
